That time i lost the map on purpose
Where the hell am I?? I love getting lost... If not accidentally, then on purpose hah!
I think traveling is not a race. It’s not all about a destination. It is about the journey we decide to take to get there. Sometimes you don’t even make it there due a various of reasons, however it doesn’t mean it will fail. Cherish every moment along the way, as the destination is just a small part of the whole adventure and without a journey, destination becomes just a tick box without any stories to tell, unexpected memories to cherish or lessons learned about yourself. Gosh, you are more likely to remember a random bbq with your new made friends who invited you to join, rather than a fancy meal you ate at the fancy restaurant.

The moment I get the first idea, that little spark of inspiration for my next possible adventure, is when my journey starts. I find myself over excited while researching, planning, looking at all the options of routes, side trips and detours, time frames and plans from A to B… and even beyond to C and D. I map out every possible place I want to see, routes to take and an adventure to experience that I can think of.
Then I take a step back and start to take things out due the restrictions, budget, transportation and purely making most of available time I have. All this is done to allow some space to breath, pause and immerse with surroundings and meet people, and also allow flexibility on those moments when things might take their own way and you have to adapt and set up new plans on a spot. Not even mention what you discover along the way from locals that you want to add on into your itinerary.
Don’t let the lack of language skills stop you either. I used to… but after finding myself in a situations where there were not a single common word connecting two people, I end up finding myself laughing uncontrollably with my new friend, and sharing an unspoken moment of understanding. It is a powerful moment when connection are formed via body language and gestures. And that is all that matters… connection beyond any barriers or borders!
